The template should measure about nine inches high. If your printed image is too small, you can enlarge it on a copier, or click below to print the Adobe Acrobat file.

The finished purse measures 5 x 3.5.

• Template (see above)
• Purse: Card stock, 9 x 6
• Gussets: Paper, 4 x 4
• Handle: 8" ribbon or cord
• Inner card: Card stock, 3.25 x 3.25
• Closure: Tiny piece of Velcro (optional)

• Scissors
• Bone folder
• Hole punch
• Glue

• Rubber stamps, inks, stickers, etc.

1. Use template to cut out purse from card stock and gussets from paper; cut on solid lines, use a bone folder to score and fold on dotted lines. Fold the center of the gusset toward you and the two side folds away from you. Punch holes where indicated.
2. Unfold and decorate the inside and outside of the purse and gussets as desired. Be creative!
3. Apply glue to the folded edges of the gusset and adhere to the sides of the purse.
   
4. Insert ribbon or cord through the holes and tie knots on the inside of the purse.
5. Glue Velcro on flap and card for a closure, if desired.
6. Cut a piece of card stock 3.25 square, write your message on it, and insert in purse.

This would make a great Mother's Day card or bridal shower invitation!
